  • BY REGISTERING FOR Anime Magic! INK’D YOU AGREE TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

    You must fill out the Tax Information Form as soon as you pay for your booth or table.

    1. Exhibitors understand that these rules are established to ensure a safe, orderly, and proper exhibition space. They protect the safety, security, liability, and public image of the convention and its attendees. Exhibitors agree that rules and policies, including these, are important and necessary for the smooth operation of the event, and they agree to abide by all such rules and policies.

    2. Anime Magic! and its staff are authorized to enforce these policies and any policies it may enact, and we may provide penalties for violations of convention policies, including but not limited to ejection from the convention without refund.

    3. All Exhibitors agree that they have and are solely responsible for having all the proper licensing that is required to do business at the convention or within the state or county. Artists/Studios agree that tattoos are to be performed ONLY in the designated Tattoo area during the hours of operation at the convention. If an artist/studio is found tattooing in any other area of the event, in their hotel rooms, or other areas they will be subject to removal without refund.

    4. No apprentices may tattoo or work the show. No exceptions.

    5. Proof of OSHA compliant blood borne pathogen training MUST be available for all artists upon inspection on the opening day of event.

    6. The artist/business shall provide instrument sterilizing equipment in compliance with this Part, on which a spore test has been performed 30 or fewer days prior to the date of the event, or only single-use prepackaged sterilized equipment shall be allowed.

    7. In performing body art procedures, the body artist shall wear single-use medical grade gloves. Gloves shall be changed if they become contaminated by contact with any nonclean surfaces or objects or by contact with a third person. The gloves shall be discarded, at a minimum, after the completion of each procedure on an individual client, and hands shall be washed before the next pair of gloves is donned.

    8. Artist/Business shall provide Alcohol-based single-use hand wipes to be available in each work station.

    9. Exhibitors shall submit to a health inspection at a date and time at the discretion of Anime Magic! and IDPH.

    10. All Exhibitors agree that they are solely responsible for having all the proper health licensing, insurance, and safety measures in place for Tattooing and body work to meet state, local, and county guidelines.

    11. No person shall perform any tattoo procedure upon a person under the age of 18 years that is prohibited by Sections 12-10 through 12-10.2(c) of the Criminal Code of 1961. Age verification shall be obtained by government issued identification containing a birth date and photograph

    12. In other procedures, such as piercing, the parent or legal guardian shall sign a consent form.

    13. Any body artist can refuse service to any individual, at any time, and for any reason.

    14. The Vendor, if tattooing on premises, agrees to:

      • Use single-use needles and inks only.

      • Use certified Sharps container to dispose of used needles and razors. Vendors will be responsible for proper disposal.

      • Follow recognized professional tattooing standards and maintain a clean workspace.

      • Every fresh tattoo must be bandaged.

      • Properly disposing or bagging of contaminated waste.

      • Checking the booth area for any tattooing product or materials before leaving booth. Your area must be completely clean!


      • Wipe down your area with Disinfectant (including work tables & chairs)

    15. Exhibitors agree they are solely responsible for the legality and merchantability of any items they sell.

    16. Exhibitors may not bring merchandise into the convention that would be illegal to sell. This includes but is not limited to bootleg DVDs, unlicensed replicas or products, etc.

    17. Anime Magic! reserves the right to inspect an exhibitor's booth and its products at any time. We may open and inspect any item, box, or container that are in packaging. We will NOT open items that are in their original manufacturer's packaging.

    18. Selling weapons to minors is prohibited. It is illegal to sell weapons to minors. Exhibitors who sell weapons must set their display up in safe fashion to prevent accidents or injuries. Sole liability of accident or injury lies with the Exhibitor, and not Anime Magic!. Real guns may not be sold at Anime Magic!. Projectiles, ammunition, or air-canisters for any gas-powered guns are not allowed. If you are selling weapons you must securely package them and advise the purchaser that it can not be taken from the package at the convention without the approval of convention inspection. If you are found breaking any federal, state, or local weapons laws you will be solely responsible and held accountable for your actions.

    19. Our convention is family friendly. Displays of adult material is at the sole discretion of Anime Magic!. Exhibitors agree and are aware that if selling 18+ materials as deemed by Anime Magic!, they may be placed in an 18+ only section behind pipe and drape. Exhibitors must take steps to prevent minors from viewing materials that are sexually explicit, extremely graphically violent, or otherwise unsuitable for anyone under 18. Do not sell inappropriate materials to minors, as it is illegal. If you are found illegally selling inappropriate materials to minors you will be solely responsible and held accountable for your actions.

    20. Exhibitors agree that since Anime Magic! is a family-friendly convention, if tattoos or body work being performed requires any level of nudity that would exceed Anime Magic!’s general attendee policies, the Exhibitor is solely responsible for supplying the proper curtain/coverage to completely cover the client and nudity involved. Anime Magic! reserves the right to shut down any tattoo or body work being done at any time if Anime Magic! deems the nudity displayed is against our policy for any reason at any time without liability.

    21. Anime Magic! INK’D is about the promotion of your creative works. Please use your best judgement in what you bring and sell! If you have a question about whether you can sell an item or service, you must contact us: contact@animemagicinkd.org

    22. Exhibitors may not rent, sell, transfer, or sublet space to anyone else.

    23. Sharing and splitting of tables/booths is not allowed. Tattoo shops with multiple people operating under one business entity/name are allowed, however. Sharing of booths outside of these parameters is strictly prohibited. Anime Magic! reserves the right to limit the number of booths purchased per exhibitor.

    24. Exhibitors do not have to remain at their booths for the duration of the convention, but it is strongly suggested that you do not leave any belongings unsupervised. Anime Magic!, convention staff, the convention center, its staff, the hotel, and hotel staff are not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged items. Creative displays are allowed, but may not take up space in the walkway or infringe another exhibitors`s space. Your setup MUST fit into your purchased space and not go outside of that physical space.

    25. Space is first-come-first-serve. Space is not held for anyone until payment has been confirmed and the registration process has been submitted fully.

    26. Anime Magic! reserves total right of booth and exhibitor placement. You may request a specific location or accommodation and while we take these into consideration, there is no guarantee you will receive your request.

    27. Signs, decorations, banners, etc may not be taped, nailed, tacked, stapled, or otherwise fastened to ceilings, walls, painted surfaces, or columns at our convention facility. If you do any of these things and cause damage, you may face penalties.

    28. Anime Magic! is not responsible for losses due to theft, damage, fire, or any other causes. Exhibitors must take care to watch their own space during the Exhibitor Hall hours.

    29. Exhibitors are responsible for purchasing their own internet access and any other amenities through the venue services at their own expense. Shared electrical lines will be provided for operation of tattoo equipment.

    30. Anime Magic! reserves the right to ask any Exhibitor to leave the convention at any time for any reason that we believe may harm the event.

    31. Exhibitors agree and understand that they MUST SHOW UP ON TIME for load in. Anime Magic! reserves sole right to determine load-in time. Exhibitors agree and understand that if they show up late or not at all, that their space may be forfeited without refund. No exceptions.

    32. Anime Magic! reserves the right to amend, adapt, modify, update or otherwise change these rules at any time to protect the safety, security, liability, or public image of the convention and/or its attendees, or for any other reason deemed necessary.

    33. Refund Policy: NO REFUNDS. Anime Magic! Does not grant refunds on Tattoo Alley Booths once purchased, and booths are not transferable to another exhibitor, and you may not sub-lease or rent the booth space to anyone else.

  • When you book a booth with Anime Magic!, it will include the following:

    • The physical space chosen (example: 10x10 Booth)

    • One Unskirted 2’x6’ table

    • One Chair

    • Two Exhibitor Badges (Full Weekend Access) per booth.

    • One Waste Basket

    • One ID Sign per registration.

    Extra Exhibitor badges may be purchased at the convention day-of as well as online through our payment portal. If your application is accepted you will be given access to the private payment portal. Exhibitor badges will not be mailed out prior to convention and must be picked up during check in at the con. You will be notified on how/where to pick up your badges as well as where you can purchase additional badges prior to the convention.
